Jessica KS Fung

Jessica KS Fung is a musician, music scholar, producer, and lecturer. She received her MMus from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as a Jockey Club Scholar, and her MA and BA in music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has presented her research at conferences in Hong Kong, Penang, Accra, and Lisbon. Besides her part-time teaching, she has also been invited to give presentations on music and music production as creative entrepreneurship in Hong Kong.
She has received various awards and grants, including the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Cultural Exchange Grant for music conferences, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music Scholarship, the Adrian and Anne Walter’s Creative Professional Practice Award, the Yam & Pak Scholarship for Chinese Opera, the Kong Yue Kau Memorial Scholarship for Chinese Music, and the Ng Tai Kong Memorial Scholarship for Chinese Music.
As an artist, she has performed in London, Saint Petersburg, Vienna, Singapore, Guangzhou, Macau, and Hong Kong. As an artist and the administrative director of her co-founded ensemble TroVessional, she has curated and produced numerous funded music and art programs, such as the 2023 Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme "Fly me to Hong Kong" (sponsored by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, HKSAR), the Community Driven Project "Baby Nanyin Sing with Me - kids education kit and online programme" (funded by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, HKSAR), and the Touring Lecture Performances "Chinese Regional Music: Cantonese Music" (sponsored by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council).
